Emergency First Response AED courses
AED courses can be taken as
one of three courses.
- CPR & AED
- Primary & Secondary Care inc AED
- Care for Children inc AED
EFR
CPR & AED deals only with heart related
life-threatening emergencies. The course consists of
two major topics - CPR, and AED. CPR - cardiopulmonary
resuscitation. CPR provides oxygen to the brain and
core organs even when a normal heartbeat is absent.
AED's (automated external defibrillator) attempt to
correct an abnormal and inefficient heartbeat. This
course is ideal if you need a short course, a refresher
or, already have a first aid course and need to add
on AED training.
EFR
Primary Care & Secondary Care teaches
participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies.
Primary Care teaches you the steps and techniques for
handling life-threatening emergencies. Secondary Care
teaches you what to do when Emergency Medical Services
(EMS) are either delayed or unavailable, and how to
provide first aid for patients with conditions that
aren't life threatening.
EFR
Care for Children course is an innovative
CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches
participants how to provide emergency care for injured
or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less
than one year old.
